Being Thankful: 30 things I’m thankful for

Inspired by Matt Cutts, I decided to write down one thing I’m thankful for every day for 30 days. Most of the days, I chose something that had meaning for that particular day, but it was not required. There are so many things in life worth being thankful for, and it’s a good exercise to take the time to recognize them.

Day 1, April 5, 2011 – I’m thankful for an incredible, supportive, and insightful family, and their unending understanding and optimism.
Day 2, April 6, 2011 – I’m thankful that I get the opportunity to study and live in Brussels, Belgium.
Day 3, April 7, 2011 – I’m thankful for the warm sun and wonderful weather.
Day 4, April 8, 2011 – I’m thankful to finally be on break.
Day 5, April 9, 2011 – I’m thankful for the thoughtful and open invitations of others.
Day 6, April 10, 2011 – I’m thankful that even after eight months in Brussels, I can still feel like a tourist sometimes.
Day 7, April 11, 2011 – I’m thankful to have met her, and to have her in my life.
Day 8, April 12, 2011 – I’m thankful for inviting little cafes, where I can have a nice drink and focus.
Day 9, April 13, 2011 – I’m thankful for toilet paper.
Day 10, April 14, 2011 – I’m thankful for international travel.
Day 11, April 15, 2011 – I’m thankful for Landmark Education leaders.
Day 12, April 16, 2011 – I’m thankful for the generosity of friends and all those in my life.
Day 13, April 17, 2011 – I’m thankful to be alive.
Day 14, April 18, 2011 – I’m thankful for the internet.
Day 15, April 19, 2011 – I’m thankful for the inspiration and the empowerment I got from the Landmark Advanced Course.
Day 16, April 20, 2011 – I’m thankful for Sparrow.
Day 17, April 21, 2011 – I’m thankful for my MacBook Pro.
Day 18, April 22, 2011 – I’m thankful for biking — that I have a bike, thanks to Villo, and that there are fun places here to bike.
Day 19, April 23, 2011 – I’m thankful for food.
Day 20, April 24, 2011 – I’m thankful for Notational Velocity.
Day 21, April 25, 2011 – I’m thankful for the pill.
Day 22, April 26, 2011 – I’m thankful for Google.
Day 23, April 27, 2011 – I’m thankful to have known my dad.
Day 24, April 28, 2011 – I’m thankful to have been raised the way I was.
Day 25, April 29, 2011 – I’m thankful to be so fortunate.
Day 26, April 30, 2011 – I’m thankful for wild and unrestrained action movies.
Day 27, May 1, 2011 – I’m thankful for all the great writers sharing their work for free online.
Day 28, May 2, 2011 – I’m thankful for all those sharing their talents and resources so freely — whether writing, code, music, advice or time.
Day 29, May 3, 2011 – I’m thankful for data recovery, specifically, PhotoRec.
Day 30, May 4, 2011 – I’m thankful I get to interview so many great, interesting people.
